Dear Anna and Family,
I was so sorry to hear of Buddy's passing. He grew up next door to me in Woodville and he was like a brother to me growing up in that small town. He played dolls with me and I played "cowboys" with him. We spent a lot of time together until he went away to Bellbuckle. I have many fond memories of Buddy and our growing up years, especially climbing the China Berry tree between our houses and walking along Miss Fay's fence! She was not happy about that. He was a special person and was a good friend and I am thankful that I had him in my life . I still have and enjoy the silver bracelet he brought me when his family went on a vacation out west. I think it must have been in the last 1940's and I wear that bracelet to this day.
I am sure he was a loving husband, father and grandfather. I want each of you to know you are in my thoughts and prayers as you grieve his loss. May God's special love comfort you and remember that love never dies.

In caring sympathy,
Joan Anderson Whitener

My prayers are with you, Anna Catherine. Although you and I have never met, we talked briefly to one another on the phone when you would call Buddy at Nalco. Buddy was one of my mentors there. I still think of him fondly. May God bring peace to you and your family.
