Isabel Livous Obituary

Isabel Darlene Livous (referred to affectionately as Darlene), a native of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, was born to the union of Joe Henry and Minnie Lee (Wright) Livous, Sr. on July 11, 1931. She fell asleep in death Thursday, January 6, 2022 at The Crossing at Clarity Hospice on Bluebonnet Boulevard; she was 90 years of age. She was a very loving and caring mother and grandmother. Isabel was a thoughtful and hospitable person. She was well loved, and we will miss her dearly. Isabel dedicated her life to Jehovah God, and symbolized her dedication by water baptism on July 4, 1992, becoming one of Jehovah's Witnesses. She loved being in the field ministry with her dear friends sharing her hope of God's coming earthly paradise, as mentioned at Psalm 37:29 "The righteous will possess the earth, and they will live forever on it." She is survived by eight children: Charlotte Livous Allen of Dallas, Texas, Charles Livous, George Livous, Sr. (Darlene), Roxanne Livous, Rosiland Glasper (Jackie), Gregory Livous, all of Baton Rouge, Rhonda Thomas (Willie) of Maringouin, LA, and Gennifer Stepter (Perry) of Walker, LA; 17 grandchildren, 43 great-grandchildren, 13 great great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives, and many dear friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Joe and Minnie Livous, Sr., her eight brothers, and two sisters, two daughters: Charlene Christophe, and Lesia Livous, a grandson, George Stevens, and other dear loved ones. A virtual Memorial Service via Zoom will be held Saturday January 22, 2022 at 2:00pm; please contact the family for login information. Special thanks to the caring staff of The Crossing at Clarity Hospice, and the Charles Mackey Funeral Home.

Family you all have my deepest sympathy. I am recovering from major surgery and Jamie recovering from testing positive for Covid-19. We are up-to-date on our shots but we lost a close member of the family days before Darlene's funeral (Joyce Garth Sampson) whom Darlene knew through us. Darlene called my daughter Denella (Tinkerbell) and because of her love for Denella, we would have been there for you all. Ask Roxane to call me (225) 615-8214). I would like to live stream if it is still possible.
