James "Jamie" Burrell, Jr., departed this life on Monday, September 23, 2024, at Thibodaux Regional Health System. He was 65, a native of Thibodaux, LA and a resident of Vacherie, LA. Visitation on Thursday, October 3, 2024, at Williams & Southall Funeral Home, 1204 Cleveland Street, Thibodaux, LA from 4:00pm to 6:00pm. Visitation on Friday, October 4, 2024, at First Baptist Church, 1244 Magnolia Heights - Vacherie, LA from 9:00am to religious services at 11:00am. Interment in the church cemetery. Survived by the love of his life for 13 years, his Fiancée, Brenda M. Williams; 1 Daughter, Latoya Thomas; Stepson, Donavan Williams; 1 Sister, Sandra Robertson; 1 son-in-law, Juawana Thomas; 4 Grandchildren, Austin and Brea Johnson, Zi and Zaelyn Williams; devoted niece and nephew, Cheyenne and Nigel Robertson. His godchildren, Carol Cisneros, Rosheim Lewis, and Marcus Robertson; adopted brothers and sisters, Ronnie Joseph, Clinton, Bernell, Lovenia and Charlene Williams; a devoted friend, Eric Domino.
