James Charles "Jim" Elbourne obituary

James Elbourne Obituary

James "Jim" Charles Elbourne, known to his family as Bay, passed away the morning of November 25th at the age of 91. He is survived by his wife of 73 years, Natalie Heard Elbourne, as well as two devoted sons and their wives Gary (Blaine) and Don (Myra,) six grandchildren and their spouses; Rachel Justus (John,) Scott (Jennifer,) Don (Courtney,) Keith (Wendy,) Kristin Reynolds (Ron,) David (Aimee,) and thirteen great-grandchildren. He was devoted to his family, loved to travel in their motor home, garden, and work in his shop where he could fix anything. He was a decorated veteran of WWII where he received five battle honors. Upon returning home he worked for Exxon until his retirement in 1976. In accordance with his wishes he will be buried at the Louisiana National Cemetery in Zachary, Louisiana, with a small service at 11:00 am on his birthday, December 22nd. There will also be a celebration of his life to follow.

e was a great man and lived a full like with a wonderful partner. I was married to Bay's cousin and we spent a few weeks each winter with them and met most of the family. so sorry for your loss. My deepest sympathy to all the family. "Trish' Hanson.
