To my dearest family, some things I'd like to say...
but first of all, to let you know, that I arrived okay.
I'm writing this from heaven. Here I dwell with God above.
Here, there's no more tears of sadness; here is just eternal love.

Please do not be unhappy just because I'm out of sight.
Remember that I'm with you every morning, noon and night.
That day I had to leave you when my life on earth was through, God picked me up and hugged me and He said, "I welcome you."

It's good to have you back again; you were missed while you were gone.
As for your dearest family, they'll be here later on.
I need you here badly; you're part of my plan.
There's so much that we have to do, to help our mortal man."

God gave me a list of things, that he wished for me to do.
And foremost on the list, was to watch and care for you.
And when you lie in bed at night, the day's chores put to flight.
God and I are closest to you....in the middle of the night.

When you think of my life on earth, and all those loving years because you are only human, they are bound to bring you tears.
But do not be afraid to cry; it does relieve the pain.
Remember there would be no flowers, unless there was some rain.

I wish that I could tell you all that God has planned.
But if I were to tell you, you wouldn't understand.
But one thing is for certain, though my life on earth is o'er.
I'm closer to you now, than I ever was before.

There are many rocky roads ahead of you and many hills to climb; but together we can do it by taking one day at a time.
It was always my philosophy and I'd like it for you too...
that as you give unto the world, the world will give to you.

If you can help somebody who's in sorrow and pain, then you can say to God at night......"My day was not in vain."
And now I am contented....that my life has been worthwhile, knowing as I passed along the way, I made somebody smile.

So if you meet somebody who is sad and feeling low, just lend a hand to pick him up, as on your way you go.
When you're walking down the street, and you've got me on your mind; I'm walking in your footsteps only half a step behind.

And when it's time for you to go.... from that body to be free, remember you're not going.....you're coming here to me.

To The Truong Family,

I was not very close to Jason , but from the times I was around him he was always smiling never a frown in sight. From what I've heard he was a great brother. I hope that ya'll get though this I know its going to be hard I've been through this before. But i think that Jason would want it that way. Im shure God is keeping him safe and hes having a good time up there. Ya'll are in my prayers and Jason will never be forgotten.

Kim, Binh, Ms. Ann, and the rest of the Williams and Truong family, I am truly sorry for your loss of Jason. I know exactly how you feel since I lost my Dayna a few months back. The pain is excruitiating, a feeling of hopelessness, nothing anyone can say will make it any better. I am praying for all of you to have the strength to function every day and keep on living because that is what Jason wants. Believe me when I tell you that even though he isn't here in body, he is here with you all the time. I'm sorry I didn't make the service as I found out he was your child too late. Please be comforted to know that Jason IS HERE WITH YOU. I'm grieving with you all. All my love, Judi and Family

Hey my buddy, i just wanted to tell you that i love you today and let you kno how hard it was for me to let you go. You will never kno how much you just really meant to me. I can remember when we were little at your old house and we was all wanting to climb a tree, and i was scared but you just jumped right up there. You were never scared of anything, and i kno you are not scared now. Danielle just reminded of the time when you convinced us to jump off the club house. You were always lookin to jump off of somethin, like that long ago you jumped off the roof of the new house into the pool. I love you Jason.

MY THOUGHTS AND PRAYERS ARE WITH YOU, AND MY PRAYER IS THAT GOD WILL GIVE YOU STRENGTH, BECAUSE WHEN YOU ARE WEAK, GOD IS STRONG. I ENCOURAGE YOU TO LOOK TO THE HILLS FROM WHENCE COMETH YOUR HELP, BECAUSE ALL OF YOUR HELP COMES FROM THE LORD. I DON'T KNOW YOU ALL PERSONALLY, BUT THIS ONE THING THAT I KNOW IS THAT GOD HAS CONSIDERED THIS LITTLE BOY. MOM AND DAD OF THIS LITTLE BOY, KNOW THAT WHEEPING MAY ENDURE FOR A NIGHT, BUT JOY COMES IN THE MORNING. LOOK UP, AND LOOK TO THE HILLS FROM WHENCE COMETH YOUR HELP, BECAUSE ALL OF YOUR HELP COMES FROM THE LORD. DON'T LOOK TO THE LEFT NOR THE RIGHT, BUT LOOK UNTO JESUS, THE AUTHOR AND FINISHER OF YOUR FAITH. BE ENCOURAGED MOM AND DAD, BE ENCOURAGED, BECAUSE GOD ONLY TAKES HIS BEST, AND KNOW THAT GOD CONSIDERED YOUR SON HIS BEST. I LOVE YOU WITH THE LOVE OF THE LORD

Dear Truong Family,

There are no words to express the profound sadness which grips the entire Brusly/Addis/Plaquemine community today at the loss of such a fine young man. These numerous entries to Jason's guest book are a wonderful tribute to him, and a testament to how many lives he's touched in his short time with us. As a mother, my heart absolutely aches for you. Why did Jason have to leave us like that ? Is a question we ak every day but no one realizes that God needed him because he was such an angel on earth ! Of course we will never get over this but I know

that jason is looking down on us wondering why are we so sad when he is the happy in Heaven. We have to think about it this way! He is in a much better place than us so just be happy that he is with God. He will still be alive in out hearts each and everyday!

The Truong Family,

My deepest condolences to you. My heart goes out to you all; Jason is my friend and he always will be. I know its hard, but please keep the faith. I'm here for you. I wrote this poem the next day. I know its not much but its from my heart.

I talked to Jason last night in my dream

He wants y'll to cheer up for things aren't as bad as they seem

I talked to Jason about life and its trials

He said cheer up because God needs him for awhile

I cried for Jason, but he told me to stop

He said he'd be gone but won't be forgot

He needs us to be strong for his sister, Janae

He said we'd be together soon someday

So we've got to be strong for Jason's sake

It was God's decision about his life and fate

His life just got moved to a better place

He said don't cry or be full of fear

Don't forget the memories that we hold dear

Jason may have vanished from our lives

But from our hearts he'll never disappear.

We love you Jason and we will never forget you!

THIS IS JUST A LITTLE SOMETHING THAT I WROTE, DEDICATED TO JASON AND FAMILY.

As I look at that empty desk

I can’t help but think about you

As you look down on us

I hope you are thinking about us too

I knew you would see our tears, and you don’t want us to cry

I know you don’t like to see the pain in our eye

I to hold you to be with you that day

you looked so helpless and weak while in bed you did lay

As I stare at that empty place

I can’t help but notice that it is bare

You aren’t here with us anymore

I just know they are treating you right up there

As I look back on all the times

That we would rap and make up rhymes

I can’t help but think

Of all the memories we have left to share

An empty school, an empty chair

A hard-working wrestler No longer there

The good ole times, the laughs we had

When I think of all these things, they make me sad

You are all in our memory

You’re there with every step we take

your thought is with me

with each decision I make

As we all say goodbye

We can’t help but to cry

But Jason, know, in the inside were all smiling

Because we know one day, we’ll see you again

As the days go on,

I know you're still smiling, it will never be gone

On the morning Jesus came and took you by the hand,

We cried as you left for that special land

Buddy we’re all missing you

Know that it’s true

We love you Jason, we care

Don’t forget about us- make sure you’re safe up there

This is just from me, I have to tell you both how I have always watched from the sidelines and admired what wonderful parents you both are and how lucky your children are to have such loving and devoted parents. I see Jason on the soccer field and Kim I see you watching as the proud parent, I can’t get that vision out of my mind, I feel such pain for your loss as I am a parent that lives for my children as well. I am devastated by this and feel such a loss, I wish there was something I could do, I’m praying for God to keep you and to help you and I appreciate your prayers for my daughter as well. God Bless you

Kim, Binh, Janae', Jami, and Justin and the Extended Family of Jason. Our thoughts and prayers are with you in your time of grief. May your memories of Jason bring you lots of comfort. Always remember when you're feeling lonely and missing "Jason" think of the Great Times you had together and the Place he's in and how happy he is to be with all his love ones that have passed before him. We know, No bond is as great as that between a parent and a child, but, God will comfort you and give you strength and peace as you go through this grief, just call on him. You will never be alone...

May God cover you and your love ones with many blessings, and always remember:

"Absent from this body,is present with the Lord" I know this has helped me many times.

We have enjoyed the times we had with Jason on the wrestling team. He was a very sweet young man and very polite. Ethan has always spoken very highly of him and to know him was to love him...

Our prayers are with you and the family....

September 12, 2006

To my dearest family, some things I'd like to say...

but first of all, to let you know, that I'm still doing okay.

I'm writing this from heaven. Here I dwell with God above.

Here, there's no more tears of sadness; no pain and grief to bare;

here is just eternal love.

Please do not be unhappy just because I'm out of sight.

Remember that I'm with you every morning, noon and night.

On September 11, 2006 was the day I had to leave yuall,

because my life on earth was through,

God picked me up and hugged me and He said,

"I welcome you."

This is what he told me "It's good to have you back again;

you were missed while you were gone".

When you think of my life on earth, and all those loving years

because you are only human, they are bound to bring you tears.

There are many rocky roads ahead of you and many hills to climb;

but together we can do it by taking one day at a time.

It was always my philosophy and I'd like it for you too...

that as you give unto the world, the world will give to you.

If you can help somebody who's in sorrow and pain,

then you can say to God at night......"My day was not in vain."

And now I am contented....that my life has been worthwhile,

knowing as I passed along the way, I made somebody smile.

So if you meet somebody who is sad and feeling low,

just lend a hand to pick him up, as on your way you go.

When you're walking down the street, and you've got me on your mind;

I'm walking in your footsteps only half a step behind.

And when it's time for you to go.... from that body to be free,

remember you're not going.....you're coming here to me.

Jason was an outstanding young man, that we've known since almost forever. Since we can remember, Jason has always been a great person. He was always smiling every time you'd see him. Seeing him smile would always make you smile along with him even if you didn't know what he was smiling about. He was just an all out good person, that kept the class flowing. Even though we weren't the best of friend we still made time to chill with each other. He will be greatly missed and his memory will never be forgotten.

Mr. and Mrs. Truong,

I teach Biology at Brusly High School and Jason was in my class. The one thing that impressed me so much about this young man is that he always managed to maintain that radiant smile. His good and dear friend John always kept him laughing and smiling during class. So much so that last Thursday I had to separate the two of them. I eventually gave in and allowed them to sit next to each other again. On that same day we were taking notes in class and Jason came up to me and said "see Mr. Lewis I took my notes today." I told him "good job, I'm proud of you." I think that those were the last words he said to me and I to him.

I am truly grateful to have had him in my class, even if it was for a short while. I want you to know that his death has touched me in a special way; we will miss him! However, I do encourage you to go on and look up. I can only imagine that Jason would want you to do that. Lastly, and most importantly, trust God and believe that He alone can someday take away the pain and hurt. The sun will shine again!

Sincerely;

Delbert Lewis

Just wanted to let the family know that my heart goes out to each of you. Kim and Binh, you two did a wonderful job in raising Jason, he turned out to be such a loving and caring person. I know it is hard, but always remember the love you had and he will always be in your heart and up above watching over you. Janae, Justin & Jamie, I know it is hard loosing your older brother, but I promise it does get better and the one thing you can always remember is that you will have a guardian angel always looking out for you. When time gets hard try to remember all the good times you had with him and it will help ease the pain. If any of you need anything please call me.
