Joseph David Obituary

Joseph was a retired employee of Gerry Lane, where he painted cars for 33 years, and a resident of Frisco, La. He died at 1:25 am on Tuesday, June 16, 2015, at Lakeview Manor Nursing Home, where he had been residing for the past 7 years. He was 84 and a native of Oscar, La. Visiting will be held at St. Francis Cabrini Catholic Church in Livonia on Thursday, June 18, 2015, from 9:00 am until Mass of Christian burial at 11:00 am. Conducted by Rev. Amrit. Interment in St. Francis Cabrini Cemetery. Survived by his two daughters, Vickie Jarreau and husband Johnny of New Roads, and Carol Adams of Prairieville; three sisters, Betty Pruett of Livingston, Mary Tracy of New Iberia, and Doris David; three brothers, Jimmy David of Denham Springs, Wesley David of Las Vegas, Nevada, and Dennis David of Simmesport; two step sisters, Patsy Patin of Port Allen, and Linda Faye Covington of Port Allen. He was a loving grandfather to four grandchildren, Chad Jarreau, Donna Johnson, Angie Berrocal and Carolyn Adams. Five great-grandchildren, Haley Jarreau, Isabella Jarreau, Joshua Berrocal, Lauren Adams, and Rodney Holliday. One great-great grandchild Baylee Kroll. Preceded in death by his father, Lafayette David; mother, Agnes St. Romain Munson; brother, Harold David; sister, Shirley Gauthier; step sister, Catherine Tabor; and step brother, LinRay Guerin. A special thank you to the staff of Lakeview Manor Nursing Home, Dr. Robert Helm, Baton Rouge Cardiology, Dr. Hollins and Pointe Coupee Hospice. Pallbearers will be Chad Jarreau, Brian Bergeron, Daren Bergeron, Keith Johnson, Rodney Holliday, and Bryan Guidroz. Honorary Pallbearers are Jimmy David, Wesley David, Johnny Jarreau, Joseph C. Bergeron, Daniel Berrocal, Joshua Berrocal, Gerald Henry, Edward Grantham and Randy David.
