Juanita holds a very special place in my heart. She was more of a sister than an aunt. She taught me a lot and helped to take care of me as a big sister would do. She took care of my hair and taught me how to as well. Whenever we went to the country for our girls weekend, or any time. I always made sure I had some cracklings or pork skins for her. She was the quietest of my maternal aunts, but when we did talk, you were on the phone for over an hour or more. I can remember our last conversation and it was no different. Until we had to get off...but I will long remember her calling me "Meats", which was her special name for me...I loved her and my condolences to Dixon, Torin, Donnie, and all of her beautiful grandchildren, great-grands, and daughter-in-laws!

Love
Your niece and cousin,
Demetria Frazier Lee and family

I had Ms. Dixon 7th hour social studies my 9th grade year at McKinley. I sat right beside her desk. My fondest memory: she allowed us to put our heads down after finishing an exam. I fell fast asleep and dreamed I was falling. I fell out of my desk, lol. All she asked me was, "Was it a good dream?" LOL! I still tell that story!! Take your rest Ms. Dixon.

PRAYER FOR GRIEVING FAMILIES and FRIENDS:

FATHER, thank YOU for another day. We know not what this day will bring but we know that YOU are in charge. FATHER, we know that as sure as we live we must die. Help us to live guided by YOUR word, prepare us for our date and ease the pain of our transition. YOU have all power in YOUR hands and we plead for YOUR grace and mercy. FATHER, give grace and mercy to bereaved families and friends. Heal the hurt in their hearts. Give them the strength to persevere and be their comfort in their hours of need. Turn them to YOUR light so that they may know that YOU will never leave them. Help them to live firmly planted in YOUR word. YOU are our light and salvation and we thank YOU in all things. All praise belongs to YOU. HALLELUJAH, HALLELUJAH, praise YOUR holy name. In the mighty name of JESUS, Amen.
