Linda Gayle Olinde Beauvais

Linda Gayle Olinde Beauvais, a resident of Oscar, La passed away on January 28, 2024, peacefully at her home beside her loving husband, Roland "Butch". She was 77 years old. Linda worked as a teachers aid at Catholic of Pointe Coupee for many years before she retired. Linda was a devoted Catholic and a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in New Roads. Linda and her husband showed their devotion to one another and the church by doing Marriage Encounter for the diocese of Baton Rouge. Linda delighted in her grandchildren, and she found great joy in celebrating family holidays, cooking delicious meals, and creating special memories. She was an avid crafter and used her gift to create a beautiful home. Linda loved traveling with her soul mate and best friend, her husband of 61 years, Butch. After returning home, she would often create scrapbooks to record every wonderful memory. Linda is survived by her husband of 61 years, Roland "Butch" Beauvais; sons, Troy Beauvais (fiancé, Janice Damron), Brian Beauvais (Diane); Brad Beauvais (Jill); daughter, Pamela Wells (Mark); grandchildren, Mark Wells Jr. (Amanda), Amanda Mitchell (Matt), Gavin Beauvais, Gared Beauvais, Olivia Beauvais, Blakely Beauvais, Emily Beauvais, and Hudson Beauvais; great grandchildren, Vincent and Jackson Mitchell, and Damon Wells; sisters, Gloria Cifreo and Pearl Jarreau; and her beloved dog, Kyo. She is preceded in death by her parents, Ida and Henry Olinde. Pallbearers will be Mark Wells Jr., Matthew Mitchell, Gavin Beauvais, Gared Beauvais, Hudson Beauvais, and David Cifreo. Honorary pallbearers will be Gene Carmouche. Visiting will be held at Niland's Funeral Home in New Road, La on Thursday, February 1, 2024 from 10:30 am until 1:15 pm. The Mass of Christian burial will follow at St. Mary's Catholic Church for 1:30 pm conducted by Father Bob Stine. Entombment will follow at False River Memorial Park Mausoleum.
