A Reminiscence

YES, thou art gone! and never more
Thy sunny smile shall gladden me;
But I may pass the old church door,
And pace the floor that covers thee.

May stand upon the cold, damp stone,
And think that, frozen, lies below
The lightest heart that I have known,
The kindest I shall ever know.

Yet, though I cannot see thee more,
'Tis still a comfort to have seen;
And though thy transient life is o'er,
'Tis sweet to think that thou hast been;

To think a soul so near divine,
Within a form so angel fair,
United to a heart like thine,
Has gladdened once our humble sphere.

Mareta,
You were my dearest friend, we were like sisters. We shared a lot of memories and laughter these 43 years of friendship. It's going to be hard not picking up the phone and talking to you when I am feeling sad or when something funny happen. No more calling and talking on the phone about our kids, family and friends. You will always be in my heart as I know I was in yours. No matter where we would move to we would always find each other. The only thing in this life that could ever seperate us was death; one day my old friend we will have a family reunion in heaven. LOVE YOU ALWAYS!
Jenny
