Mary Robillard Obituary

Mary Rose Sansone Robillard January 10, 1932 – January 5, 2018 He will wipe away all tears from their eyes. There will be no more death, no more grief or crying or pain. The old things have disappeared. (Revelation 21:4) Born in Dallas, Texas, and a proud resident of Morganza, Louisiana, Mary Rose died with her children at her side. One of the most charitable and strongest women we knew, she suffered life's hardships using her faith in our Lord Jesus Christ as her anchor. She was a devoted spouse for nearly 46 years to her high school sweetheart, the late Charles Roy Robillard, and a loving mother of nine children. The entire community is saddened by her death. Mary Rose was a graduate of Morganza High School and the Academy of the Sacred Heart. She was an accomplished musician, and served St. Ann's Catholic Church as their choir director and organist for over sixty years. She was a long time member of the Catholic Daughters of America, Court Isabella, #809. In addition to being our mother, she was a mother to many children, serving as a Pointe Coupee Elementary School teacher for twenty five years. Mary Rose was a gifted artist and charitable musician to all residents of Pointe Coupee Parish. She was predeceased by her parents, Frank and Mary Sansone, her spouse, Charles Roy Robillard, two daughters, Marie and Donalyn Robillard, and a grand-daughter, Tiffany Glaze. She is survived by a son, six daughters, one daughter in law and four sons in law: Roy Joseph and Kathy Robillard, Marilyn and Myron Fonseca, Sharolyn and Ron Underwood, Carolyn Lowe, Rosalyn Glaze, Jacquelyn and Robert des Bordes, and Tonilyn and Troy Guidry. She never missed an event, and celebrated as many as she could with her 16 grandchildren: Matt Robillard, Jonathan Robillard, Mary Kathryn Robillard, Chris Fonseca, Shawn Fonseca, Crystalyn Sonnier, Shelby Lowe, IV, Michael Underwood, Lauren Underwood, Tommy Glaze, Brittany Glaze, Ashley des Bordes, Samuel des Bordes, Anna des Bordes, Donalyn Norris and Britney Guidry, and 12 great grand-children: Lila Rose, Ruby, Charles, Chelsea, Jack, Kalin, Carter, McKalyn, Levi, Virginia, Carson and Adalyn. Her presence, laughter and kindness will be greatly missed. Her oldest grandsons will serve as pallbearers. Visitation will be held at St. Ann's Catholic Church Hall, Morganza, Louisiana, on Monday, January 8, 2018 from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm. Visitation will resume at St. Ann's Catholic Church on Tuesday, January 9, 2018 from 9:00 am to 11:00 am. A Catholic mass will be officiated by Father Brent Maher and burial at the St. Ann Catholic Church mausoleum.
