Matthew McCoy entered into his heavenly home on Monday, August 2, 2021 in Livingston, LA. He was 59 years old, a native of New Orleans, LA and resident of Colyell, LA. He was a loving husband, father, paw-paw, son and brother. He treasured spending time with his family, gardening, traveling, and being a disciple for Jesus. He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Danna Loupe McCoy; son, Chad McCoy (Randi); two daughters, Kassie McCoy Montgomery (Marcus), and Jacie McCoy; 4 grandsons, Mason and Morgan McCoy, Graham and James Montgomery; mother Betty Ann Brown McCoy; 2 brothers, Ronnie McCoy (Vicki), Richard (Debbie); 2 sisters, Carolyn McCoy Brooks (Billy), Joyce McCoy Witmer (Bill); and numerous other relatives. He was preceded in death by his father Allen James McCoy. Visitation will be held at Unity Prayer Center, 28145 S Frost Rd. Livingston, LA 70754, from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm on Wednesday, August 4, 2021. Visitation will resume at the church at 9:00 am until religious services at 11:00 am on Thursday, August 5, 2021. Burial will be in Colyell Community Cemetery in Colyell, LA followed by a reception at Colyell Baptist Church. Pallbearers will be Chris McCoy, Nick Delatte, Ory Loupe, Brad McCon, Bobby Williams, Daryl Williams and honorary pallbearers will be Mason and Morgan McCoy, Graham Montgomery.
