Michael David "Mikey" Hains

Michael David Hains, "Mikey", 25, a resident of St. Francisville, LA, was called to his heavenly Father on Thursday, July 30, 2015. Visitation will be at Charlet Funeral Home, Inc. in Zachary, LA on Sunday, August 2, 2015 from 5pm until 8pm and then on Monday, August 3, 2015 at the St. Francisville First Baptist Church from 10am until memorial services at 11am. He is survived by his grandparents Ron Ressel and his wife Janie of Punta Gorda, FL, his father, Jack Hains of Crowley, LA; his mother, Mary R. Hains and her husband Allen Young of Jacksonville, FL; three sisters, Amy Hains of Lafayette, LA; Stacy Clement and her husband Terry of Lafayette; Erica Ferguson and her husband Wesley of Benton, AR; two brothers: Joey Hains and his wife Brittany of Carencro, LA; William Hains of Lake Charles; his girlfriend Anna-Maria Fidanza of Zachary; nephews Caleb Clark, Henry and Hugh Clement, Luke and Reese Hains, Triston Ferguson; and nieces Alex Clement and Ella Ferguson. His Christian faith, wit, charisma, integrity, loyalty, warm heartedness and sincerity made him such a remarkable person and a joy to be around. His love for life was contagious. Despite an amputation his senior year of high school, his love for baseball was redirected to coaching and umpiring both high school and college baseball. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing and frogging. He was an all-around do-it-yourself person. His unwavering love for his family and friends will be deeply missed.
