To the Jackson Family, always remember that the memories of our Dear Rev. Jackson will always live on in yours and our hearts forever. He will truly be missed at LZBC. I looked forward to our Sunday morning quick but meaningful conversations about life's treasures. He baptized and married me and all of my siblings. He has truly been an icon for my entire family for years. Take your rest Reverend Jackson!

February 8, 2020

Mrs. Catherine Moore, the entire Jackson family and friends, it is with deepest sympathy that we acknowledge the passing of Pastor Morris Jackson. The bible let's us know that to be absent in the body is to be present with the Lord. Pastor Jackson was a wonderful teacher, leader and friend to our family. His love and kindness will never be forgotten. Love never fails or dies; it lives on into eternity. His love is living in his family and friends. We all make his life count even more by the way we love and take care of each other now. Let his love shine on in each and everyone one of you. We are praying that the Lord will comfort and strengthen you all. May his peace guard, keep, and sustain you-in Jesus name.

I can not begin to express what Pastor Emeritus Morris Jackson, Jr. meant to me and the New Providence Baptist Church Family and I'm truly blessed to have known such a "Powerful Man of God"! He served as MY Pastor for some 30+ years and had a very close connection with the Clark family.

To; sweet Mrs. Jackson, Melissa, Sheila, Marcus, Michael and Renee

Reverend Jackson was a pillar of the community when we were growing up in the neighborhood as we admired and aspired to model our family after yours. We know that you have lost a wonderful and loving husband and dad but rest assured he is safe in the arms of the Lord. Keep trusting and believing in the Lord as he will give you strength to endure this, as this too shall pass. I love you all and will keep you in our prayers.

I had the distinct honor to meet Mr. and Mrs. Jackson as an entering Freshman at Southern University Law School in 1988. While Michael and I matriculated together, I attended his fathers church. I discovered Pastor Jackson was a strong yet calm pastor. I admired not only his Godly wisdom, but how he provided and protected his family as well as his church family. May he continue to sleep in peace, under 1st Thessalonians 4: 15-18.
Love you all,
