Oralee Chaney Obituary

A retail salesperson and resident of Baton Rouge, she died of liver cancer at 9:25 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 21, 2012, at Ochsner Medical Center. She was 47. Visiting at Winnfield Funeral Home, 7221 Plank Road, on Monday, Feb. 27, from 10 a.m. until service in the chapel at 11 a.m., conducted by the Rev. Marva Chaney, Oralee 'Red' by Coleman. Interment in Winnfield Memorial Park. Survived by her mother, Sadie Chaney; daughters, Stefanie and Summer Chaney; devoted friends, Sam Jones and Irvin Gross; and godmother, Emma Sanchez. Preceded in death by her uncle, William Chaney; and godfather, James Sanchez.

Stephanie,Summer and Mrs.Sadie, you all have my deepest deepest sympathy. Your mother/daughter will be greatly missed "RED" had a beautiful spirit and smile, she her self was a beautiful soft spoken person. I'm glad our paths crossed when i worked at Froggie-Mo in the office. I love you all and will you will forever be in my prayers. Mrs. Joyce Jones

I remember her growing up on Progress Street in Easy Town. After all those years gone by, I got a chance to see her again last year at O'Reillys. She always had a pretty spirit and heart. My deepest sympathy!
