Oscar Loyd Graham

Oscar Loyd Graham left this world on Monday, April 18, 2016, at 3:55 am at the age of 90, surrounded by loved ones. He was born on September 21, 1925, and was a lifelong resident of Walker. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He retired from Carpenter's Local #1098 and was a member of Carroll Baptist Church. He was a loving and devoted husband, father, and grandfather. Survived by his loving daughters and sons-in-law: Brenda and Roy May, Vickie and Nathan Corkern, Sandy and Therrell Campbell, and Judy Graham. Grandchildren are Ricky May, Jamie May, Kevin May, Christy Stenger, Carmen Corkern, Ashley Stafford, Kasey Campbell, and Jonathan Campbell. He had 16 great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren, and another due in July. Preceded in death by his wife Helen Sullivan Graham; parents David and Bertha Graham; siblings Sidney Graham, Hulon Graham, Louis Ballard, Lanzy Palmer, Rozine Crane, and Bessie Yander. He enjoyed watching the birds and squirrels from his back porch. He had a kind soul and a big heart and was a blessing to all who knew him. He was loved by all and will be greatly missed. Visitation will be held at Carroll Baptist Church on Wednesday, April 20, 2016, at 10 am until services begin at noon. Burial will be at Vickers Cemetery. Pallbearers will be his grandsons; Ricky May Sr., Jamie May, Kevin May, Jonathan Campbell, Ricky May Jr., and Terry Stafford.
