Otis Guy Obituary

A retired diagnostic specialist for AutoZone, he died Tuesday, May 29, 2007, at midnight at Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center. He was 59, a resident of Denham Springs and a native of Springfield. Visiting at Mount Olive Baptist Church, Denham Springs. on Thursday, May 31, from 9 a.m. until religious service at 2 p.m., conducted by Brother David Robertson. Graveside service at Red Oak Cemetery, Livingston. Survived by his wife, Dianne Marie Norton Guy; two daughters, Crystal Renea Guy and Tracy Michelle Williams; three sons, Otis William Guy Jr., Tony Lee Guy and Jason Gregory Guy; brother, Jimmie Ray Guy; and 14 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father, Otis Eugene Guy; mother, Swanie E. Welder Guy; and brother, Carl Calvin Guy. Pallbearers will be Ryan Guy, Scotty Smith, Chris Smith, Richard Mann, Carter Lee and Mike Bardull. Honorary pallbearers are his brother, Jimmy Guy, and son-in-law, Randy Williams. Arrangements by Renaissance Services, Gonzales.

In My Pocket

I have memories in my pocket.
They rattle among the change.

My memories of you are treasures I carry wherever I go.

They are stored in bits and pieces, parts of a beautiful whole
They give me comfort when I think I am alone.

Yes, I have memories in my pocket, like so much other stuff I keep there.

But of all the treasures I have, it’s the memories of you that are the most precious.
