Pamela Reynolds Obituary

A beautiful, sweet soul returned to the loving embrace of her Savior on Friday evening, February 6, 2015. Pam was native of Wausau, Wisconsin, born on August 18, 1945, to Beatrice and Frederick Becht. Pam was 69 at the time of her death. Pam attained a Bachelor of Science degree in nursing and became a Registered Nurse. While serving in the United States Navy in Charleston, South Carolina she met her soul mate, Earl C. Reynolds, a native of Baton Rouge and a pilot in the United States Air Force. They were married on December 28, 1968. Thereafter, a resident of Baton Rouge, Pam continued to practice nursing at Baton Rouge General Hospital, Doctor's Hospital, and with Dr. John A. Thomas until retiring in 1979. Pam was a loving wife, mother, and the grandmother of five beautiful grandchildren. Pam was an avid reader; loved tending to her home and flowerbeds; loved to travel the world; looked forward to decorating for every holiday; loved football; enjoyed spending time with her many friends and family; loved telling jokes (a Reynolds and Becht family trait); and loved the companionship of her beloved poodle, Riley. Pam filled our lives with laughter and joy. Pam is survived by loving husband, Earl; son, Aidan, Aidan's fiancé, Jessica, and grandchildren, Liam Patrick and Mairin; son, Chad, daughter-in-law, Julie, and grandchildren, Ashley and Grant Murphy; son, Patrick, daughter-in-law, Melissa, and grandson, Davin; two brothers, Bruce and Brian Becht. Pam was also very close to her nephew, Andrew Reynolds, his wife, Brooke, and their daughter, Eleanor, along with her countless nieces and nephews, whom she loved dearly. Pam was preceded in death by her parents, Beatrice and Frederick, and her brother, Paul. Special Visitation will be held at St. Jude the Apostle Catholic Church on Thursday, February 12, starting at 9:30 with the Mass of Funeral Burial to follow at noon. Burial services and interment will be held at Greenoaks Memorial Park following Mass. In lieu of flowers, gifts may be directed to the Lupus Foundation of America or the American Heart Association in Pam's memory. Please sign our online registry at www.rabenhorst.com.

I am so sorry for your loss. I just found out about Pam this morning. I worked with Pam when she worked for Dr. Thomas. I worked for Dr. Kilroy. I just retired from there this past June after 41 years. I spoke to a couple of people at BROC who knew Pam. Everyone was very surprised and sad for you all. She was a very sweet person. I know she will be greatly missed.

Mr. Reynolds, Chad and family, Patrick and family --

I'm sorry to hear of your wife/mom's death. I didn't know she had died until Tommy left me a message which I didn't read until tonight. I would have gone to her service if I'd known. She was a lovely lady. I know you are a close family, and will support each other.

Sincerely,
Lana Merliss

Dear Earl and Family
It is hard to find the right words at a time like this, and maybe that's because there are few words that can sooth your saddened hearts. The heart always remembers what it has loved best. May your memories comfort you and bring you peace.
