Patricia Ann Haydel "Patsy" Ramagos

1937 - 2024

Patricia "Patsy" Ann Haydel Ramagos, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Thursday, February 1, 2024, at the age of 86. She was born in White Castle, grew up in Old Turnerville and was a current resident of Addis. Patsy was a caregiver in every sense of the word. She cared for children in her home for 20+ years and was known as "Mom" to many. Patsy was an excellent cook, she enjoyed playing the lottery, getting her hair done and going to the boat. Visitation will be at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Brusly on Thursday, February 8th, 9 a.m. until Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m., celebrated by Rev. Arun John. Burial will follow in Grace Memorial Park in Plaquemine. Patsy is survived by her four children, Cindy Hebert and husband Mark, Danny Ramagos, Hazel Delapasse and husband Maurice, Patty Hunt and husband Keith; 7 grandchildren, Nicole Ramagos, Celeste Delapasse, Dwayne Hebert, Mandy Lambert, Claude Delapasse, Kayla Delapasse, Jesse Hunt; 12 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great-grandchildren, a sister, Shirley Junot. Patsy was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Ramagos Sr.; son, Richard "Trip" Ramagos Jr.; parents, Claude Sr. and Hazel Gauthreaux Haydel; siblings, Claude Haydel Jr., Jackie Haydel, Constance "Connie" Russell, Cecile "Noonie" Thoms. Pallbearers will be Kade Bourgoyne, Jesse Hunt, Maurice Delapasse, Keith Hunt, Claude Delapasse and Dwayne Hebert. The family would like to extend a special thanks to Baton Rouge Hospice, Holli Delapasse, Valerie Camper, Pastor Andrew, and Father John Arun. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. John the Baptist Catholic Church or the Bereavement Committee. Patsy was our angel on earth and she will be greatly missed.
