Patsy Leger

Leger, Patsy Funeral service will be held on Friday, Jan. 5, 2007, at a 2 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial in Evangeline Memorial Gardens Chapel in Carencro for Patsy Leger, age 59. She passed away at 4:29 p.m. Monday, Jan. 1, 2007, at Our Lady of Lourdes Regional Medical Center in Lafayette. Interment will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens in Lafayette. The Rev. Chester Arceneaux, pastor of Our Lady of Wisdom Catholic Church in Lafayette, will officiate the service. Lectors will be Joyce Leger and Charlotte Richard. Giftbearers will be Joanne Leger and Lindsey Theriot. Musical selections will be provided by Valerie Andrus. The songs will be "Amazing Grace," "Here I Am Lord," "Just A Closer Walk With Thee" and "One Bread, One Body." Ms. Leger was a native and resident of Lafayette, having lived in Marksville and Baton Rouge. She had been a parishioner of St. Elizabeth Seton Catholic Church in Lafayette. Survivors include a daughter, Christi Zito and husband Ken of Metairie; father, Alex Leger of Marksville; mother, Narlin Castille Leger of Marksville; two grandchildren, Colby Zito and Myles Zito; two brothers, Merlin Leger and wife Joanne of Lafayette and RL Leger and wife Joyce of Baton Rouge; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Melancon Funeral Home, Evangeline Memorial Gardens Chapel, 4117 N. University Ave., Carencro, (337) 896-3232, on Thursday, Jan. 4, from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m., with a rosary to be prayed at 7 p.m. Visiting will continue on Friday from 9 a.m. until time of service. Pallbearers will be Steve Theriot, Lance Leger, Steve Dupuis, Ty Theriot, Keith Leger and Blake Leger. Honorary pallbearers are Merlin Leger and RL Leger.
