Ralph W. Perkins

1939 - 2023

Ralph W. Perkins, 84, went home to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, October 11, 2023, at his home in Watson, LA. II Timothy 4:7 "I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, and I have kept the faith." Ralph was born March 8, 1939, in Baton Rouge, LA. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, and brother. He loved the Lord and was an active member of Greenwell Springs Baptist Church and Sunday School. He was a graduate of Baton Rouge High and attended LSU. He honorably served his country in the United States Marine Corp. He worked and retired as a Process Operator for Exxon Mobil for 27 years. His greatest joy was fishing with his wife and pulling in that Big Bass, watching his grandson's grow up to be fine young men and being around his grandchildren and family. Ralph is survived by his wife of 61 years, Iris V. Perkins and daughter Pam Jones (Larry). He was so proud of his 7 grandchildren Ridge Perkins, Drew Dipaola (fiancé Katie Kenny), Joshua Richardson (Lindsey), Cole Perkins (fiancé Dajah Dangerfield), Travis Jones, Magnus Hymel, and Scotti Hymel; 4 great grandchildren Berklyn Perkins, Maverick Dipaola, Malakai Perkins, and Oaklee Richardson; and brother Tommy Perkins (Carol). Ralph is preceded in death by his son Ralph 'Rock' Perkins, parents T.W. and Tiny Perkins, brother Gene W. Perkins, and grandson Brett Jones. A special thank you to Jerry and Diana, our day sitter Mona, and night sitter Pam for all their wonderful care they showed Ralph during his time of need. Pallbearers will be the grandsons. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the visitation at Greenwell Springs Baptist Church on Monday, October 16, 2023, from 8:30 a.m. to the funeral service at 10:30 a.m. with graveside service at Green Oaks Memorial Park in Baton Rouge, LA at 12:45 p.m. Memorial Donations may be made to Greenwell Springs Baptist Church Building fund.
