Remember Me

To the living, I am gone.
To the sorrowed, I will never return.
To the angry, I was cheated.
But to the happy, I am at peace,
and to the faithful I have never left.

I can not be seen, but I can be heard.

So as you stand upon a shore,
gazing at a beautiful sea, remember me.

As you look in awe at a mighty forest
and its grand majesty, remember me.

As you look upon a flower
and admire its simplicity, remember me.

Remember me in your heart, your thoughts
and your memories of the times we loved,
the times we cried, the times we fought, the times we laughed.

For if you always think of me,
I will never be gone.

To the Blanchard Family:

Wow - how do you describe Rebelle? There are too many words to describe the type of person he was. I will use FRIEND - to all who knew him he was just that - a friend. He was always true to himself. An icon of Port Allen. He will be greatly missed and will never be replaced.

Go rest my friend - no one deserves it more than you!!!!!!

The world has lost a great man, but God has gained a phenomenal Angel. Pie was a man who knew how to give of himself to others freely and unconditionally, never asking anything in return. His smile and zest for life were contagious to all who knew him.
May God surround you all with his loving arms and help you through this difficult time.
Blessings,
Johnny, Sherry, & Lauren Robinson

To all the Rebelle and Blanchard family,I am sincerely sorry for your loss. Pie was such a giving person. I'll never forget the Christmas it froze,('83) he came out to fix an outside pipe that had busted. Later he called to say he had gone home to find one of his pipes had busted in the attic. He said our phone call made him check his own pipes and saved his house from flooding. He would not take payment. I know he will be missed by all of you. Know that all of you are in my thoughts and prayers. Special hello to my Matthew! Joan Wick

My dearest sympathies to the whole family of "Pie" Blanchard. He was one of the finest and kindest man that we all know and would give his shirt of his back to help one in need even though everyone thought he use to yell too much. I appreciated knowing him as well as the help he gave me when I needed it.

TO THE BLANCHARD FAMILLY,
I CAN REMEMBER NEEDING A PIECE OF P.V.C.PIPE AT 8:00 PM AT NIGHT AND GOING OVER TO THE HOUSE AND PIE GETTING OUT OF HIS CHAIR COMING OUTSIDE, AND OPENING THE SIDE OF THE TRUCK AND SAYING " GET WHAT YOU NEED". AND IF YOU ASKED HIM, WHAT DO I OWE YOU? , YOU MIGHT GET SOMETHING THROWN AT YOU( LIKE A ROCK OR SOMETHING HEAVIER)! HE WAS JUST THAT KIND OF A MAN. THEY JUST DON'T MAKE'EM LIKE THAT ANY MORE!
THANKS FOR SHARING YOUR DAD, HUSBAND AND GRANDAD WITH US ALL.

I know you are wondering who this is, I am one of Shelby and Edna Sanchez's children. I knew Pie from when I was in diapers and loved him like a part of our family. Pie was so good to my mother when she rented from him but not just then. He was always a good man and one that would do anything for anyone. Pie will be missed by so many. I will be praying that God will be with you all during your time of suffering.

To my dearest family, some things I'd like to say...
but first of all, to let you know, that I arrived okay.
I'm writing this from heaven. Here I dwell with God above.
Here, there's no more tears of sadness; here is just eternal love.

Please do not be unhappy just because I'm out of sight.
Remember that I'm with you every morning, noon and night.
That day I had to leave you when my life on earth was through,
God picked me up and hugged me and He said, "I welcome you."

It's good to have you back again; you were missed while you were gone.
As for your dearest family, they'll be here later on.
I need you here badly; you're part of my plan.
There's so much that we have to do, to help our mortal man.

God gave me a list of things, that he wished for me to do.
And foremost on the list, was to watch and care for you.
And when you lie in bed at night, the day's chores put to flight.
God and I are closest to you....in the middle of the night.

When you think of my life on earth, and all those loving years
because you are only human, they are bound to bring you tears.
But do not be afraid to cry; it does relieve the pain.
Remember there would be no flowers, unless there was some rain.

I wish that I could tell you all that God has planned.
But if I were to tell you, you wouldn't understand.
But one thing is for certain, though my life on earth is o'er.
I'm closer to you now, than I ever was before.

There are many rocky roads ahead of you and many hills to climb;
but together we can do it by taking one day at a time.
It was always my philosophy and I'd like it for you too...
that as you give unto the world, the world will give to you.

If you can help somebody who's in sorrow and pain,
then you can say to God at night......"My day was not in vain."
And now I am contented....that my life has been worthwhile,
knowing as I passed along the way, I made somebody smile.

So if you meet somebody who is sad and feeling low,
just lend a hand to pick him up, as on your way you go.
When you're walking down the street, and you've got me on your mind;
I'm walking in your footsteps only half a step behind.

And when it's time for you to go.... from that body to be free,
remember you're not going.....you're coming here to me.
