Rita Pennington Brian

1930 - 2021

Rita Pennington Brian was born December 3, 1930, and passed away quietly on February 20, 2021 at the age of 90. She was a native and life-long resident of Baton Rouge. She was the youngest of the 4 children of Florence and Sidney S Pennington. She was a graduate of Istrouma High School. She is survived by two sons, David Brian and wife Jill, Reid Brian and wife Angie: seven grandchildren, Josh, Kelsey, Katelyn, Blake, Cole, Ty, Conner; two great grand-children, Cooper and Ansel; and one sister Maisie Raymond. She was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years Wilton Brian, Terry Brian, her son, and two brothers Sidney Pennington and Robert C Pennington. She was a devoted member of First Christian Church of Baton Rouge. There will be a graveside service for family and friends, February 23, at 2:00pm at Greenoaks Memorial Park.
