Robert J. "Ted" Devlin Ph.D.

DEVLIN, PH.D. ROBERT J. "TED" A retired LSU professor from the College of Education with 25 years of service and employed at St. Vincent de Paul Community Pharmacy, he died at 8:30 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 29, 2004, at Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center. He was 75, a resident of Baton Rouge and a native of Union Town, Pa. He was a U.S. Army sergeant and veteran of the Korean conflict. Visiting was at Rabenhorst Funeral Home, 825 Government St., from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Friday. Religious service at St. Jude the Apostle Catholic Church, 9150 Highland Road, at 10 a.m. Saturday, conducted by the Rev. David Allen. Interment in Resthaven Gardens of Memory. Survived by his wife, Martha K. Devlin; five daughters and two sons-in-law, Miriam A. Devlin, Baton Rouge, Katy and Russell Yurk, Indianapolis, Larissa Devlin, Covington, Maggie and Kai Landry, Biloxi, Miss., and Teresa Devlin, Baton Rouge; a sister, Sister Miriam A. Devlin, M.D., Bucksport, Maine; three grandchildren, Annabelle and Veronika Landry and Michael Deane Yurk; and numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his parents, Walter Gerard and Mary Hart Devlin; and three brothers, Walter Gerard Devlin Jr., James Hart Devlin and Lawrence Brenden Devlin. He was a member of St. Jude the Apostle Catholic Church and Knights of Columbus. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Vincent de Paul Community Pharmacy, P.O.
