Rosetta Walker

A resident of Baton Rouge and a native of Tunica, she died at 12:31 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 1, 2008, at Baton Rouge General Medical Center-Mid City. She was 83. Visiting at Miller & Daughter Mortuary, Zachary, on Sunday, Oct. 5, from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. Visiting continues at Little Zion Baptist Church, 1955 74th St., the Rev. Marcus Jackson, pastor, on Monday, Oct. 6, from 10 a.m. until religious service at 11 a.m. Interment in St. John Baptist Church Cemetery in Tunica. She was a member of King's Children Full Gospel Church, the Rev. Robert Joseph, pastor. She is survived by seven daughters, Mary B. and husband Fred Robinson, Christine and husband Ehule Pope, Sarah Walker and husband Claiborne Ginyard, Alberta and husband Odell Morrison, Linda Walker and husband Thomas Robinson, Velma and husband Audrey Vanner, and Leila M. and husband Calvin Davis, all of Baton Rouge; a son, Clint Walker, of Baton Rouge; three sisters, Odessa Jackson, Gloria Terry and Geraldine Terry, all of Baton Rouge; two sisters-in-law, Suzy Mae Walker, of St. Francisville, and Myrtle P. Walker, of Baton Rouge; three brothers, William Terry, Charlie Terry and Bert Terry, all of Baton Rouge; 50 grandchildren, 110 great-grandchildren and 26 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter Walker; parents, two sons, a daughter, a grandson, a great-grandson and a granddaughter. She was a member and church mother of Full Gospel Church.
