Ruby O'Connor Obituary

Ruby Brown O'Connor, age 84, died on Wednesday, Nov. 26, 2008 at her home. A native and resident of Baton Rouge, she was retired from Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center. She is survived by two sons, Robert Brown Jr. and wife Claudia H. Brown, pastor, of Baton Rouge and Paul K. Brown and wife Cynthia M. Brown, of Addis; four sisters, Evelyn Mooney, Joyce McClure and Berthella Cline, all of California, and Myrtle Johnson, of Houston; three stepdaughters, Willie Mae McKurlin and Deloris Johnson, both of Los Angeles, and Mary Burns, of Baker; six grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, cousins, nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her parents, Douglas and Mary Dawson; husband, Robert Brown Sr.; second husband, Willie O'Connor; daughter, Marva Y. Kornbacker; brothers and sisters and several grandchildren. Arrangements pending with Desselle Funeral Home.
