It is not always easy to express feelings in just mere words. There are so many ways to view the passing of such a steadfast man. Many of us are saddened, some are hurting from the emptiness they now feel and others are calmed in knowing that you are in a much better place. As I think back to my childhood I can always remember hearing you laugh and joke with those you love...especially the kids. You were always one to “stir-up” trouble. You always had a way of making sure the important things were taken care of. I can remember you always being such a hard worker and how devoted you were to your family. You took care of so many and you did it without complaint. Thank you for all of the memories, from sitting out on the porch enjoying an afternoon, canning vegetables, making jelly or shelling pecans, to fishing in the backyard. You will be missed but never forgotten.

Aunt Earline, as you face this time in your life when you may not be sure where life’s road may lead you please know that you have many people praying for you and thinking of you. You have also touched many and now you will find out how much we have appreciated your dedication to our family. May you always remember the wonderful times you have shared with your husband.

Love Always,

Rindy, Reid, & Ashlynne

Uncle Vernon words can not express how much i LOVE you and MISS you and THANK you for helping raise me. You always had a Great way of putting things into words to make us understand things. I will never forget how much fun we use to have when we were all together and how much you have tought me and everyone else in our family. I know that you are looking over all of us to make sure nothing happens to us. Thank you so very much for all the memories and teaching you have done to make our family grow stonger and wiser. Aunt Earlene,

We are so very sorry to hear about Uncle Vernon’s passing. Even though he has left this world, we will always have his memories to keep him alive in our hearts. As I remember him; he was a very kind, generous and FUNNY man that loved his family dearly. The Sicard’s and Roussel’s have had a special kind of relationship that allowed us to call him our “uncle” and you our “aunt”. Please know that ya'll have been in our thoughts and prayers. If there is anything that we can do for you to help you through this difficult time, please let me know. Must be a hell of a card game going on in heaven now.

Aunt Earlene,

I am going to miss Uncle Vernon. He helped raise an army. He was always there and never said no. When you were needed, he jumped in the car and headed down the road. It did not matter if it was Lake Charles, Florida or wherever, he just alwayed seemed to be where he was needed.

Thank God for people like him in this world. He may not have had children of his own, but he sure did have children of his heart. He took a little piece of my heart when he left this world.

I love you, Julie

It is hard to believe that you are really gone but thank you for lots of memories....for fishing on your pier, nights you and Aunt Earline would stay at our house while you were traveling, nights I spent at your house. But most of all thank you for letting me know how much you really did care even though it wasn't expressed in words. Your love and dedication to your family never went unnoticed. Love Leslie
