He was always there to give me wise words and encouragement. He was always there to share his thoughts, his determination, his experiences, his regrets... He was right there to tell me, "Keep going in this direction and you're going to be fine. Do it now while you're young. And before you know it you'll reach new heights..." He was always there...
So thank you Victor. I hope that your joy will carry you on to a place of light and love. My condolences to Victor's family and friends. He was truly a blessing in our lives. I pass on his words of encouragement to all of you.

I'm sorry for your loss. Victor was a friend and neighbor of mine. I will miss our random encounters and talks of life and how he loved Scorpion women. He was such a kind and gentle soul. May he be in peace and reunited with his true love. Victor you will be missed.

Furrate Family - I’ve known Victor for almost a year; we worked together. He was a great man and I will miss him very much! We had many great conversations almost daily during our breaks. Victor is now reunited with his loved ones whom he missed very much. God Bless

I was shocked to hear of Vic's passing - I had spoken with him just a few weeks prior. I worked with Vic at 3 companies (Marotz, Comps.com, and MDM) and he was an usher at my wedding and one of my best friends. I will always have a special place in my heart for him and will miss him dearly.

To the Furrate family, I am sorry to hear of Vic's passing. I realize he is not alone, but with his beloved mother and father who have always been watching over him.
I can fondly look back to the many memories of our childhood, skateboarding, motorcycle riding, delivering papers in the brown van and wilderness camp outs in the various back yards in the neighborhood. Vic was a warm spirit to us all. As we grow older into our own lives we may lose contact, but we will not lose the fond memories of our youth. My deepest sympathy goes to the Furrate family and all of those who held Vic in their hearts.

My thoughts and prayers are with the Furrate Family. I had the pleasure of working with Vick at MDM in Mandeville, LA. He was a hard worker, and always found the time to stop and exchange stories or just ask "How're you doing". Vic was a good person and will surely be missed by all who knew him. Furrate Family - We are so very sorry for your loss. We had the genuine pleasure to work with Vic at MDM when he was in Louisiana. We truly enjoyed his passion for his work and envied his ability to embrace life and experience all that he could. Vic was that rare individual that managed to balance his personal life and his work life and was always willing to help anyone in need. The loss of Victor is a very large loss for our team and everyone at TelePacific both professionally and personally. We were very fortunate that Victor joined TelePacific. He was passionate about providing our customers with only the very best products. His enthusiasm was truly contagious. He also went out of his way to maintain a positive working relationship with everyone he met. Victor was a great personal and professional example to all of us. We will miss him dearly.

My brother David Alexander and I, Lori Alexander worked with Victor, Jason and LJ at Little Theatre in Baton Rouge. Victor was always a fun guy to be around. We are very sorry for your loss.

We would like to express our deepest sympathy to the Furrate family. We were shocked to hear of Vic's passing and can only think of how much of a loss it is to each of you. Family night at L.J's brings back memories - it was a coming together of family to enjoy one another. Wayne and I were honored to have participated in that once a week celebration of family and friends. May you find comfort in knowing that L.J is still holding family night...Vic is the first at the table and we shall all follow. God Bless you Vic.

Vic and I were friends for many years. I was saddened and shocked to hear of his passing. We had many fun times together. Vic was a very intelligent and spontaneous guy. His life was definitely a full and free-spirited one.

Vic: I am so grateful for the the time you came to see us each and every time could while in Baton Rouge (and especially this summer)....I will cherish our time outside by the pool this summer just talking and sharing. Jason, Cameron and I loved the visit and I even mentioned to Jason...that I felt it was one of our best. I am grateful for the times at LJ's that we all shared and your life has meaning and purpose and it will continue in the lives of others...that adventurous spirit and love of people. Dear Furrates,
I am so sad and sorry to hear about Vic. Please know you are in my thoughts and even though I will not be able to attend the memorial service my heart will be there with all of you!
There was no better place to grow up than in the curve of Hollydale with the Wintz/Wagg/Furrate gang and there was no better friend to have than Vic. I treasure all the wonderful memories of our adventures from Hollydale Ave. to Fun Fair Park "date nights"!
I hope you all enjoy this photo we found at mom's recently. I do believe it is the most dressed up either of us had ever been.

victor was my first puppy love. we were a couple through elementary and jr high school.and into high school at Robert E lee. I lost contact with him after high school, but have many memories of fun times our group had,running the neigborhood. kyle, janelle, rebecca, lisa,lynette. alot of us. 20 mile walkathons with him cheering us all on. skating at leo's and girls sleep overs in one house and the boys in the next house. He will always hold a special place for me as my first boyfriend! My prayers are with your family. God Bless you all.
