Aunt Evelyn,
I will always remember Uncle Virgil for his kind voice and his gentle touch. My earliest memories of him were before I was a teenager and I'd be up early ready to go to work with daddy. Back then Uncle Virgil would still ride on the milk trucks he supervised and we always enjoyed seeing him. That big smile on his face and a funny saying or joke was welcoming. As a young teenager I remember ya'll letting us come to your apartment on Woodale to swim. That was so thoughtful. Then later, seeing him at many of our baeball games was so nice. Thanks for being one of the sweetest couples that laid out an example for Carol and I to follow. Our sincere prayers are for you today that God may fill that emptiness that you have with the joy of knowing we'll be rejoined with him and our Lord in heaven one day.
God Bless!

Aunt Evelyn - the loss here on earth of a wonderful, loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and uncle is almost unbearbale but the gain in Heaven is priceless. In my heart I will always remember the love and gentle kindness of Uncle Virgil; the way he loved, respected and cared for Grannie; the caring and giving spirit that lived within him that he shared with everyone he met. We are looking forward to being reunited with him in Heaven! We pray that Jesus will fill the sadness in your heart with His love, peace and joy while bringing to you all the memories of love, laughter and joy the two of you shared through the years. God's blessing to you and all our love, Bill and Bren

Uncle Virgil looked so much like my Dad. I am sorry to hear that he's gone, but we know Jesus is faithful and has prepared a better place for him.
My thoughts and prayers are with you for the Lord to bring peace and comfort.

In My Pocket

I have memories in my pocket.
They rattle among the change.

My memories of you are treasures I carry wherever I go.

They are stored in bits and pieces, parts of a beautiful whole
They give me comfort when I think I am alone.

Yes, I have memories in my pocket, like so much other stuff I keep there.

But of all the treasures I have, it’s the memories of you that are the most precious.
