Werlein O'Brian Obituary

O'BRIAN, WERLEIN W. Died at 5:10 p.m. on Saturday, July 10, 2004, at Heritage Manor Nursing Home in Hammond. He was 71, a native of Roseland and a resident of Fluker. Visitation at McKneely Funeral Home, Amite, from 9 a.m. Tuesday until religious service at 2 p.m., conducted by the Rev. Bradley Rushing. Interment in Arcola-Roseland Cemetery, Arcola. Survived by his wife, Elizabeth D. O'Brian, Fluker; two daughters and a son-in-law, Emily Hagan, Whitwell, Tenn., and Sally and Daniel Houeye, Fluker; a son, Jimmie Hagan, South Pittsburg, Tenn.; eight grandchildren, Skyler, Megan, Shelby, Michelle, Maria, Bradly, Ryan and Allyson; a sister, Imogene Ridgedell, Fayetteville, N.C.; four brothers, James O'Brian, Kenneth O'Brian and Arnie O'Brian, all of Jackson, and Alvis O'Brian, Independence; and numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his parents, Johnny and Mattie O'Brian; and a brother, Johnny O'Brian Jr.

I was really sorry to here of your loss. Our thoughts and prayer are with the family at this time. I remember Werlien when I worked with him at the Tangi Talk in Amite while I was in school. He always had a smile and was a joy to work with. Even though I had not thought about him for a long time I can picture him as he was back then --- a big guy with a big smile and a great personally.
