Alvin Burgin Obituary
Alvin Eugene Burgin, age 88, passed away on Sept. 12, 2025.
He was a member of Mt. Eden Christian Church, Mt. Eden Ruritan Club, Mt. Eden Lodge and Mt. Eden Volunteer Fire Dept. serving 28 years as chief.
He was preceded in death by his beloved son, Jeffrey Scott Burgin. He is survived by his devoted wife of 68 years, Janet; his son, David Eugene Burgin (Susan); his daughter-in-law, Michelle Samples (Jack); grandchildren, Matthew (Caytie), Brandon and Amanda Crowe (Shawn) and Kelly McNew (Ben); and his adored great-grandchildren, Jaxon, Baker, Bennie, Parker Cate, Bentley, Blue, Bristol, Peyton and Barrett.
Funeral services will be held Sept. 15 at 2 p.m. at the Mt. Eden Christian Church. Visitation will be after 10 a.m. until time of the service. Burial will be in Best Cemetery.
Donations may be made to the WHAS Crusade For Children, in care of your local fire department, in memory of Alvin.
