Donald "Butchie" Divine, 76
LAWRENCEBURG

Donald "Butchie" Divine, age 76, of Lawrenceburg, husband of 32 years to Carolyn Divine, died Thursday, July 10, 2025, at St. Joseph Hospital in Lexington. Born May 18, 1949, in Harrodsburg, he was the son of the late Valace "Buck" Divine and Betty Louise Coyle Divine. He was a U.S. Army Veteran of Vietnam having earned two Purple Hearts and retired as a tool and die machinist where he had worked at Square D, Alton Tool & Die, Ohi Automotive of America and Gcom. He was a member of Boone's Creek Baptist Church, was an avid reader, UK fan, Cincinnati Reds fan, and also loved listening to music.
Survivors besides his wife include, four daughters, DeeDee (Lee) Sanders of Mercer County, Stephanie (Johnny) Clark of Lawrenceburg, Becky (Jeff) Marstella of Lawrenceburg and Jamie (Bobby Osborne) Nantz also of Lawrenceburg; two brothers, Ernie Lee (Kathy) Divine of Mercer County and Stephen (Deanna) Divine of Versailles; two sisters, Geraldine (the late Eddie) Cartwright and Ida Lou (Ben) Rankin, both of Mercer County; seven grandchildren, Ryan Sanders, Dolton Chaney, Jacob Sanders, Brianna Melton, Zachary Osborne, Sydni Marstella and Carly Marstella; one great granddaughter, Lakelyn Chaney and several nieces and nephews also survive.
A graveside service with Military Honors will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, July 19, 2025, at Bluegrass Memorial Gardens with Tom Rawlins officiating. Serving as pallbearers will be, Dolton Chaney, Ryan Sanders, Bobby Osborne, Johnny Clark, Ernie Lee Divine, Jr., Luke Divine, Joseph Rankin and Lee Sanders. No visitation will be held.
