James Walker Obituary
James Nelson Walker, age 88, passed away Aug. 20, 2025. He was the son of the late Horace and Evangeline Walker.
James was a member of Fox Creek Christian Church and attended New Life Christian Fellowship Church. He was a member of the masonic lodge and American Legion Post 34.
James is survived by his sister, Delores Mefford; his great-nephews, Jonathan (Shannon) Cole and Jamie (Rachel) Cole; nieces and nephews, Carmen Cole, Bailey Cole, JD Cole, Beverly Cotton, Legina Jeffries, Ann Davenport and Dawn Keeling; and many more nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 60 years, Barbara Lee Cotton Walker; a brother, Horace Walker, Jr.; a sister in-law, Judy Walker; and a brother in-law, Robert Mefford.
Services will be held on Aug. 24 at 2 p.m.at Ritchie and Peach Funeral Home with Mark Webb officiating. Burial will be at Lawrenceburg Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday from 1 p.m. until time of service.
