Robert Rice Obituary
Robert (Bob) L. Rice III, age 94, passed away peacefully Oct. 8, 2025, to begin his new life in Heaven with our Lord Jesus Christ.
Born Nov. 20,1930, in Midway, Ky. to the late Robert Rice, Jr. and Mary Catherine Rice. He lived a Life of faith and love as a devout Catholic and family man.
Bob was preceded in death by his wife of seventy-five years, Jacqueline Sue; son, Robin Rice; brothers, David and Michael Rice.
He is survived by his brother, Ted Rice; his children, Mary (Dennis) Stumph of Shepherdsville, Ky., Elizabeth (Terry) Cassman of Tennessee, Mark (Karen) Rice of Versailles, Ky., Jonadrian (Phyllis) Rice of Florida, Catherine (Reid) Meyers of Frankfort, Ky., James Rice, of Mackville Ky. and Susanne (Mike) Calvert of Louisville, Ky.; daughter-in-law, Krista Rice of Florida; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Funeral Mass was conducted at 12 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 15, 2025, at St. Leo Catholic Church. Fr. Miquel Alvizures and Deacon Reid Myers officiated. Burial was at 3 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 15, 2025, at St. Francis Cemetery, 4088 Frankfort Pike Georgetown, KY 40324.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude’s Place Memphis, TN 38105.
