Ann Savage

1931 - 2016

Ann Savage, 84, went to be with her Lord on February 20, 2016 in Antlers. She was born December 23, 1931 to John and Bertha (Williams) Hodnett at the One Creek Valley Community near Finley. Sixty nine years ago she married Claude Albert Savage. They were blessed with three children: Michael, Claudia and Buddy. Ann and her husband Claude owned and operated Claud-Anns for many years. Ann was instrumental in establishing the One Creek Valley Church. Her and Claude loved living and sharing their faith in the Lord. She enjoyed reading, cooking, traveling and caring for her family. Everyone that was close to her knew that whatever she did or wherever she went Claude was never far from her side, he was her best friend and always adored her. She is survived by her husband: Claude Savage of the home; one daughter: Claudia Rymel Rymel and husband Sammy Joe of One Creek; son: Herbert "Buddy" Savage and wife Sharon of Finley; brother: Wayne Hodnett and wife Velda of Talequah; six grandchildren: Jo Ann Rymel, Mark Rymel, Alison Hawkins and husband Ashley, Steve Savage and wife Toni, Stefani Landreth and husband Scott and Zachary Savage and wife Brittani; 13 great grandchildren; 8 great great grandchildren; and numerous other family and friends. Funeral services for Ann were held at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, February 23, 2016 at the One Creek Valley Baptist Church with Donnie Day officiating. Burial followed at the One Creek Valley Cemetery. Pallbearers were Steve Savage, Zachary Savage, Mark Rymel, Gatlin McDonnold, Scott Landreth, Ashley Hawkins. Honorary pallbearers were: Justus Landreth, Hunter Hawkins, Garrett Savage, Gage Savage, Mike Wood, Bruce Akard, Dr. Wayne Flatt, Bob Baldridge, Troy Reed, Terry Dean Miller, Curtis Ford and Toby Teel.
