Charles Rust Obituary

Mr. Charles Edward Rust, age 70, resident of Antlers, passed from this life on Thursday, September 21, 2023, in Antlers. Charles was born one of three children to Norvelle and Lodema (Bucklin) Rust on September 25, 1952, in Tulsa. He was a 1970 graduate of Broken Bow High School, and a 1977 graduate of Oklahoma Christian College where he was a track and field athlete who completed in the decathlon. He was a teacher and coach, in sales, and most recently worked for Little Dixie Community Action Agency. He was preceded in death by his parents and his two siblings, Vonnie Sobie and Tony Rust. Those surviving are his son Zack Reddell of Russellville, AR; daughter Savannah and her husband Ross Phillips of Edmond, and daughter Maranda Rust of New York, NY. He was Papa to Logan and Cole Reddell; and Callahan, Vician, Bowen, and Elaine Phillips. He also leaves behind his companion Donna Walker, her daughter Lisa Funderburk, and her children Faliciti and Finiti Funderburk, and Lexan Nowell. A memorial service was held at Serenity Funeral Service in Antlers on Saturday, September 30, 2023 at 10:00 a.m. Services were entrusted to Serenity Funeral Service of Antlers, Oklahoma.
