Kenneth Napier Obituary

Kenneth was born on March 17, 1937 in Miller community near Moyers and passed away peacefully on June 8, 2015 in Plano, TX. He moved to the Dallas area in the 1960's and there is where he met Ramona Huckabay and they married on November 20, 1970. Ken became "Dad" to Kim, Scott and Pam and later welcomed Brett. Ken was honorably discharged from the Air Force in June of 1958 and started his career as a Mechanical Engineer. Some of his work involved working on The Presidential Aircraft(s). He later retired in 2000 to enjoy spending more time with his wife and grandchildren. Kenneth was a true "Cowboy" having been raised on his family's ranch near Moyers where they raised crops, cattle and quarter horses. He loved to fish, hunt and build things including a car from the ground up in the early 80's. He enjoyed listening to country, gospel and classical music. Ken was a "Man of God" and dedicated himself to the Lord. He lived his life loving the Lord and raising his children to love the Lord. Anyone that knew Ken would say he was a quiet, gentle and patient man. Ken is preceded in death by his parents Carl and Vivian Napier and son, Scott Huckabay. Ken leaves behind his beloved wife of almost 45 years, Ramona Napier; his son Brett and Amy Napier (Ayla, Avie and Ainsley); daughters Kim Trimble (Jasmine, Stephanie), Pam and Jeff Chennault (Garrett, Jaycee). Great Grandchildren: Madison, Liam, Anika and Talon; His two brothers Phillip and Karren Napier, Eddie and Chris Napier, their sons Paul Gates - Andy and Elizabeth Gates (Lani and Ian). He also leaves behind many other close relatives. Ken chose to be cremated and his ashes scattered on the ranch in a private family ceremony.
