Margie Marie Mills

Margie Marie Mills passed from this life on November 5, 2022 in Tulsa, at the age of 98. She was born in Antlers on July 11, 1924 to Robert and Oda Elizabeth (Harrison) White. Margie was a very active member, and the oldest member, of her beloved First Assembly of God Church. She had worked as a bookkeeper for the County Commissioner, and in her younger years as a phone operator when there were still party lines. Margie was a woman of many interests, talents, and hobbies. Just a few of those hobbies included oil painting, cooking, fishing, tending her flower gardens, and ceramics. Margie is preceded in death by her husband: A.V. Mills; parents: Robert and Oda Elizabeth White; daughter: Elizabeth Marie Mills; and brother: RL White. She is survived by daughter: Susan Ann Mills-Parker and husband Dr. Roger Parker of Afton; granddaughter: ChesAnn Ford and husband Steven Dale Ford, II of Arlington, TX; great-granddaughter: Hope Avie Ford; along with numerous other relatives and friends. Funeral services for Margie took place on Thursday, November 10, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. at First Assembly of God in Antlers with Pastor Robert Weeks officiating. Interment followed at Rattan Cemetery. Pallbearers included: Steven Dale Ford II, Ray Olivis, Wade Gee, and Terry Vaughn. Honorary pallbearers included: Lois and Gene Vaughn, and Diane Nelson. Services have been entrusted with Serenity Funeral Service of Antlers, Oklahoma.
