Sherry Clark Obituary

Sherry Juhree Clark, aged 72, passed away on October 8, 2023, in Plano, Texas. She was born on June 1, 1951 in Antlers. Though her presence is now missed, Sherry's legacy will continue through her beloved family. Sherry got great joy from attending her grandchildren's activities, always supporting them with a loving and encouraging presence in all their endeavors. She found immense pleasure in reading, especially Amish stories. Sherry loved the simple joys of planting flowers around her home and spending  hours on her porch watching them bloom. She also greatly enjoyed the experience of baking with her grand kids. She showed her care through preparing special dishes for those she loved. Sherry was preceded in death by her brothers: Elton, Bill, and Doug Standridge; sisters: Loretta Poston, Betty Hall, Linnie Lynn, Fayrene Conley, and Anna Steely; parents: Lona Lee Earnest and Carl Andrew Standridge, Sr.; grandparents: Betty E. Foster, James H. Standridge, Linnie Ann Acres, and James Benjamin Earnest; and grandchild: Derek Dean Merker. Sherry is survived by her husband, Stanley S. Clark of Speer; her children; Danny Merker of Antlers, Carl Wayne Clark and wife Lawanda of Eufaula, Paula Morris of Fate, TX, DeAnna Bell and husband Keith of DeRidder, LA, and Stana McCullough and her boyfriend Trent Harlow of Antlers; brother: Carl Standridge, Jr. of Checotah; grandchildren: Nikki Merker, DJ Merker and wife Elizabeth, Mystin Steely, Matthew Clark and wife Alissa, Nicholas Clark, Emily Austin, Grace Backus, Hannah Bell, Clark Bell, Anna McCullough, Asher McCullough, Sieanna Harlow, Jordan Harlow; great-grandchildren: Wylie Merker, Jacob Merker, Karlee Merker, Kacee Merker, Kinsley Austin, Blakely Austin, Kayce Morrow, and Wrenley Morrow; and Honorary grandchild Ragen Steely; honorary great-grandchild Mark Taylor as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and all those she loved as her own along the way. A family night gathering took place on Sunday, October 15, 2023, from 3:00 – 5:00 p.m.at Serenity Funeral Service. Funeral services were held on Monday, October 16, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. at Serenity Funeral Service. Interment followed at Clark Family Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Serenity Funeral Service of Antlers, Oklahoma.
