Andrew Hutchins Obituary

Andrew John Hutchins of Martinez, GA passed away peacefully on September 23, 2025. Andrew was born in Greenfield, Massachusetts. After graduating high school in Middlebury, Vermont he enlisted in the US Army, retiring in 1988. During his military travels he met his wife, Okcha and they were married for 50 years.

Andrew was an avid gardener. His days were spent in the backyard taking care of his vegetables. His favorite time of year was hunting season. Many early mornings and late nights were spent in the trees, where he found solidarity and peacefulness. Andrew's other love was fishing at Clarks Hill Lake. Spending time with his grandchildren was one of his favorite things to do. He loved giving them opportunities to learn new things.

Andrew is survived by his wife, Okcha; his daughter: Barbara (Jeff); and his grandchildren: Carsen, Breck and Stella Kate.

He was preceded in death by his mother Martha (Williams) Hutchins and father, Gordon Hutchins.

A graveside service will take place at Bellevue Memorial Gardens on Thursday, September 25, 2025 at 11:00 AM.
