Claire Stone Obituary

Claire Lee Stone, 72, entered into rest on Wednesday, October 25, 2023. Claire was born on March 20, 1951 in North Carolina. Her parents were the late Fitzhugh and Kathryn "Kitty" Lee. She was married to the love of her life, the late Dearing Francis "Frank" Stone III, on April 7, 1973. Claire is survived by her son, Nicholas Fitzhugh Stone (Kristina) of Chicago, IL; daughter, Kathryn Stone Caison (Robert), of Augusta, GA; grandchildren, Charlotte Lynn Stone and
Graham Fitzhugh Stone of Chicago, IL and William Waker Caison of Augusta, GA; and brother, William Fitzhugh Lee (Jerene) of Scotts Hill, NC.

Beloved by all who knew her, Claire was a caring and nurturing wife, mother, and grandmother who enjoyed spending time with her family and friends around the dinner table. She also enjoyed the simple things in life, including relaxing on her back porch, a good glass of wine, keeping a clean kitchen, going anywhere with her Franky boy, exercising, and cuddling with her miniature schnauzers. Professionally, Claire started her career as an office manager, but soon found a different career path as a realtor, working for Meybohm Real Estate. Her work ethic and client-centric approach led to a long and rewarding career of over 40 years with Meybohm. She was regularly awarded as Meybohm's agent of the year and holds the record as the top producing agent in history in the CSRA. It was her genuine love for her work and personal approach that truly set her apart. She was never far from her phone and spent countless hours in her car scouting out the perfect home. A private memorial service will be held to celebrate Claire's life in the coming months. Details will be provided once the family has finalized plans.

If so desired, memorials may be made to the Neurology Stroke Program Fund at Augusta University.
