Deanna James Obituary
Diane was born on February 28, 1944 in Richmond. Co. to Melrose-Banks & John Clark.
As a child, she found her love for cutting hair from watching her mother. Diane followed in her mother's footsteps and for years she proudly worked as a Hairdresser throughout Augusta and was loved by all her clients.
Diane lived life to the fullest through simple pleasures:
gardening, fishing and spending time with her family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Sisters Brenda & Kathy, Brothers Harold & Charlie, Daughter Cindy (her pride and Joy), three grandsons Barry, Bradley, David. Dear friend and caregiver Brenda Martin and many not mentioned.
Diane is survived by her loving husband Bennie Broome of over 50 yrs. Four stepsons Bain Broome S.C, Brian (Julie) Broome, Bruce (Lesley) Broome, Buzz (Suzy) Broome, Sister Susie Oglesby all from Augusta. Niece Melissa (Eric) Ellison, Nephew CJ ( Brandy) Oglesby, Life long friend and caregiver Cindy Hellinger (Richard) Wiggins several cousins, nieces and nephews not mentioned.
Grandchildren: Dane (Jessica) Lewless, Matt (Jessica) Lewless, Orry Lewless, Ben Broome, Bruce Broome, Jessica Broome, Jenni Broome (Mikey) Caldwell, Daniel Broome, Larry (Maggie) Floyd, Brandon Broome, Cameron Broome.
Great-grandchildren: Cason, Harper, Sadie, Jaxton, Sydney, Colton, Claire, Natalie, Kierstyn, Peyton, Bailey, Porter, Dawson and several unable to list.
Diane is living free fishin' with the Master of the sea.

As a young teenager Diane was the first to ever give me a great haircut and style. My mom and my aunt both had Diane as their haordresser when Diane worked at Cherokee Plaza. Indeed one of the sweetest ladies I had the privilege of meeting. I also remember Bennie from his RCSD days. Rest in Jesus's loving arms Diane, I'll see you again one day. Condolences for all eho loved this sweet lady.
