Hazel Gordy Obituary

Hephzibah, GA – Hazel Juanita Gordy, 88, wife of the late Roy Gordy, entered eternal rest Thursday, April 4, 2024, surrounded by her family.

Graveside services will be held Monday, April 8, 2024, at Hephzibah Vance Cemetery in Hephzibah, GA at 1:00 PM with Dr. Michael Wren officiating.

Family and friends to assemble at the graveside.

Mrs. Gordy, born in Augusta, GA, where she spent all her life, was the daughter of the late Chester Mae Phillips Bosdell, and the late Joe Bosdell. She was a member of Southside Baptist Church and she retired from the clerical department of Gracewood State School and Hospital. She was a very loving mother and will be truly missed by her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.

Left to cherish her memories are her children, Rogers D. James (Teresa), Sherry Lynn Weaver (Terry), and Michael P. James (Shirley); her brothers Charles Bosdell and Donald Bosdell; grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 4:00 – 6:00 PM on Sunday, April 7, 2024, at the funeral home.
