Philip Sommers Obituary

Philip Sommers, 51, of Grovetown, passed away on September 29, 2025.

Philip was a longtime resident of Grovetown and was a project manager with Stewart Construction. He was an avid sports fan enjoying golf, Cleveland Indians baseball or watching the Cleveland Browns and Notre Dame Football teams. He was also an excellent cook and grill master known for his mac and cheese, scalloped potatoes, and his famous chili. Family was of upmost importance to him, especially spending time with his children and his fur babies. He will be missed by all that knew him.

Survivors include his sons, Connor and Riley Sommers; the mother of his children, Monica Sommers; his parents, Randy Sommers (Lori), and Joan Zymoski (Jim); and his siblings, Richard Sommers (Michelle), Scott Sommers, and Tricia Gentry (Tommy).

The family will receive friends for a visitation to celebrate his life on Friday, October 10, 2025 from 4:00 until 6:00 PM at Thomas L. King Funeral Home.
