Stephen J. Carden... I have had so many wonderful conversations with him in the past about The Atari BBS software he wrote. His friendship back in the days, and his motivation to help me to get the best thinkable Atari 8bit BBS are things I will never forget. Thank you so much Stephen, it was my pleasure. Later life asked much of our attention. We both had things that took our minds from the Atari. But not so long ago you wrote me again and we were ready to revive the friendship and atari hobby. Unfortunately you passed away now. You will be missed my friend. Greetings, Marius.

So sorry to hear of this loss. I grew up in my teenage years using, learning and enjoying his BBS communication software on my Atari computers for many years, and had the privilege of some long telephone conversations with him over the past few years. It was so great to be able to mutually share stories from the Atari days even though we never met in person. I enjoyed even trading some "rare" computer hardware items/projects by mail. He contributed greatly to the Atari community worldwide. A great loss, and my condolences from Canada to his family.

I knew SJ Carden from the internet, we often chatted, and I found out after Mrs Carden died that I was sometimes talking to her as well, on online chat. He was a good friend, although we never met in person. My condolences to all his family and friends.
