CSM (Ret) Thomas David Phair

1937 - 2022

CSM Thomas David Phair 85, entered eternal rest on 27 November 2022. He was the loving husband of Sun Ok (Lisa) Phair. CSM Phair was the son of Thomas H. and Margaret Phair and a native of Plattsburgh NY.

CSM Phair served over 26 years Active and 5 Reserve in the US Army Signal Corps retiring as Command Sergeant Major. His service included tours in Korea, 2 tours in Vietnam, Okinawa, Germany, the Golf War and as a Drill Sergeant. Following his service, he worked for Auto Zone and later Wackenhut at Savannah River Site as a Logistician and Maintenance Coordinator.

CSM Phair was active in the Fort Gordon Sergeants Major Association while his health permitted. He was also a member of the 1st Infantry Division Association, The Drill Sergeants Association, and the Knights of Columbus for over 34 years and an active member of the Saint Michael's Catholic Community as well as, Saint Teresa of Avila Catholic Church in Grovetown.

Surviving family members in addition to his wife include Niece Debbie (Trombley) and George Giroux, Nephew Steven and Susan Trombley and Niece Lisa Imhoff, 11 Great Nieces and nephews, and 16 great, great nieces and nephews.

He was preceded by his parents Thomas & Margaret Phair and his sister Barbara (Phair) Trombley.

Funeral Services will be held at Saint Teresa of Avila Catholic Church, 4921 Columbia Road, Grovetown, GA 30813, on 16 December at 10 AM.

The family will receive guests one hour prior to the service.
