Vivian Louise Stampley

Augusta, GA – Vivian Louise Stampley, 75, wife of Roy Stampley, Jr. entered into rest on Sunday, December 22, 2024, at Doctors Hospital.
Funeral services will be held from the chapel of Chance and Hydrick Funeral Directors, on Monday, December 30, 2024, at 12:00 PM with Reverend Dr. Becky Jones and Reverend Jenny Anderson officiating.
Visitation will be from 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM, two hours prior to the service at the funeral home. Graveside committal will be at Bellevue Memorial Gardens 30 minutes after the service.
Mrs. Stampley, daughter of Charlie Levi Videtto and Bertha Mae Willard Videtto, was born in Newark, NJ. She lived in the Augusta area most of her life, she was a member of St. John United Methodist Church. She was also a member of United Daughters of the Confederacy, a member of Eastern Star, Martinez Chapter #464 Order of the Amaranth, INC, court #21 Augusta, GA, and Worthy Matron of the Cleopatra chapter #241, Warrenton, GA.
She was a wonderful mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, she loved her family, camping, and travelling. She was employed in childcare at Curtis Baptist Church, St John's UMC, and Burns UMC daycare where she mothered many children and touched countless lives.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brother, Leonard Otis Videtto.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her children, Roy Stampley III (Lisa Day), Robert Stampley (Kerie), Rodney Stampley (Shannon), and Rhonda Hill (Glene); her siblings Joanne Newman, Charles Levi Videtto, Jr., Bernice "Becky" MacKendree, and Rella Smith; her brother-in-law, Paul Stampley; eleven grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.
The pallbearers will be her grandchildren.
Honorary pallbearers will be, Order of Amaranth and Order of the Eastern Stars.
