Aphrodite Despina Poulos

Aphrodite Despina Poulos “Affie”, 99, of Severn, passed away at her home on August 28, 2024. She was born in Baltimore to the late Diamond and Mary Pardos. She retired from Westinghouse after many years and went on to work for the Electronics Museum for over 10 years. She enjoyed cooking, shopping for clothes with her friends and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her former spouse, James Poulos; and her brother, Stanley Pardos.

 Affie is survived by her devoted daughter, Maria Price-Nowakowski and her husband, Marty; cherished grandchildren, Heather Carr and her husband, Bruce, Paul Price and his wife, Lauren; and her beloved great-grandchildren, Silis Carr, Zinnia Price, Graden Price and Bristol Price.

Family and friends are invited to gather at Singleton Funeral & Cremation Services, PA, 1 2nd Avenue SW (at Crain Hwy), Glen Burnie, on Monday, September 9th, from 2 – 4 and 6 – 8 PM. A Celebration of Life funeral service will be held on Tuesday, 12 PM, at Epiphany Episcopal Church (in the fellowship hall), 1419 Odenton Road, Odenton, MD 21113. Interment to follow in the church cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society by visiting www.cancer.org
