It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Charles "Chuck" DeWitt, beloved husband of the late Pearline, father, grandfather, and friend, who left this world on September 25, 2025, at the age of 77. Born on December 30, 1947, in West Virginia, Charles lived a rich life dedicated to family, friends, and his passions.
Chuck is survived by his loving daughters, Audrey DeWitt and her partner Jeffrey, Wendy Bracken and her husband Jeffery, and Dawn Clark and her husband Bruce. Additionally, he will be remembered by his granddaughters Stephanie Hamer, Tiffany Stiegler (Aaron Sr.), Samantha Siege (Matthew), Nicole Banta (Ryan) and grandsons Parker Clark, Shawn Hess and the late Jeffery Bracken (Toni). His legacy will also live on through his great-grandchildren: Kaylee, Aaron, Aidan, Sophia, Axl and Grayson. Chuck is also the loving brother to Debra Wissig, Betty Sexton and 11 late siblings.
Charles was a proud 50-year member of the Moose Lodge, where he formed lasting friendships. He also enjoyed activities like bowling, fishing, billiards, and Scrabble.
A public viewing will be held at Connelly Funeral Home of Dundalk, 7110 Sollers Point Road, on Sunday, October 5th from 2-4 pm & 6-8 pm with a funeral service to celebrate his life beginning at 7:00 PM. The family requests that all guests wear their Orioles gear in memory of his love for the game. Interment will take place at Crest Lawn Memorial Gardens, 2150 Mt View Rd, Marriottsville, MD 21104, on Monday, October 6th at noon.
In this time of sorrow, let us remember the joy and love Charles brought into our lives. He will be dearly missed but forever in our hearts.
