Claude Scott Lucas, 71, of Lee County, GA, died February 8, 2025, at his residence. A memorial service will be held Saturday, February 15, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. at The Refuge Church. Pastor Bryan Gerstel will officiate.
Scott was born in Miami, FL to Claude Bowen Lucas and Barbara Ellen Lancaster. He grew up in Jacksonville, FL and graduated from Wolfson Senior High School. Scott was one of the first employed and paid Fire Fighters in Martin County, FL before moving to Leesburg, GA in 1989 and graduating from Darton College with and Associate of Science in Medical Laboratory Technology. He also received a Certificate in Medical Services Technician from Albany Technical College. He was a Mason Shriner. He enjoyed in his free time running his boys Gator and Major. He loved hunting, fishing, and hanging with his partner in crime Herman (Joyce) Langford. In addition to his parents, Scott was preceded in death by his brother, Kirk Lucas.
Survivors include his wife, Jepine Lucas of Manila, Philippines, a sister, Tracey Drew of Inverness, FL, his daughter; Jessica (David) Minick of Albany, GA; a son, Kris (Angie) Wright of Lecanto, FL; a daughter, Justine Abelis and a son J.P. Abeles of Manila, Philippines; granddaughters, Marissa (Chase) Knight and Savannah Salo (CJ) of Leesburg, GA; Kaylie Wright and Kelsey Wright of Lecanto, FL; grandsons Kris Etheridge (Daisy); Dayton Etheridge all of Albany, GA, and Keegan Wright, and Kole Wright of Lecanto, FL. His great grandchildren TJ, Oliver, Peyton and C3 and awaiting the arrival of his great granddaughter Cambrie. A niece Kara Angel and several great nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends and relatives at the home of David and Jessica Minnick, 3705 Gateway Avenue, Albany, GA.
