It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of John J. Reinhardt, a cherished husband, father, brother, and friend, who left us peacefully at the age of 82 on May 7, 2025.
John embraced the great outdoors with open arms. He found joy in walking his beloved dog, Fluffy, a rescue who became a central part of his life. John had a knack for carpentry, often immersing himself in projects that filled his home with craftsmanship and warmth. He was known for spoiling Fluffy with the utmost love, and those who knew him understood that his heart was as big as his love for animals.
John is survived by his devoted wife, Patricia Reinhardt; his daughters, Ava Brantley and Rita Evans; his brother, David Reinhardt Sr.; his sister-in-law, Joy Reinhardt; as well as his niece, Jamie Pennington, and nephew, David Reinhardt Jr. Together, they remember him for his unwavering spirit and the moments of joy he brought into their lives.
A public viewing will be held on Monday, May 12, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Connelly Funeral Home of Dundalk. Following the viewing, a funeral service will begin at 12:00 PM, allowing family and friends to come together to celebrate John's life and share their cherished memories. Interment will take place at Sacred Heart of Jesus Cemetery.
In honor of John's love for animals, the family kindly requests that, in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Canine Humane Network or BARCS, organizations close to his heart.
As we gather to remember John, let us focus on the beautiful memories he created and the love he shared with everyone who was fortunate enough to know him. He will be deeply missed but lovingly remembered.
